affiliate marketingI’ve been working as an affiliate marketer since 2007. One of my biggest lessons over the course of this now seven year journey is that affiliate marketing physical products sold on sites like Amazon and other trusted retailers are a goldmine.

Case Study:

I understand that Hubpages has purchased Squidoo and as a result of the changes that led to the purchase, I no longer have any content on Squidoo. One of my most successful lenses to date was “How to Fix Hardwood Floor Scratches” where I shared with users my tips for what to do when the floor gets scratched.

Top 5 Ways for Finding Blog Post Ideas

blog-post-ideasDo you need blog post ideas? I’ve been writing for a long time and I still feel stumped about what to write from time to time. Some days, I feel that my idea well is so barren that I am certain I’ll never be able to write that day. Of course, this never happens. I’ve learned some tricks that make writer’s block an impossibility.

1. Keep an Idea File

One thing I’ve learned is that I feel exceptionally creative some days and on other days, I can’t come up with an idea no matter how hard I try. So, on days when I know my creativity is in top form, I come up with a list of ideas. On days when I am having trouble deciding what to write, I just pick one of these ideas.

Most of us have seen these images around the ‘net. We pass them along to our friends on Facebook or Twitter. We forward the best of them to our favorite people through email.

Short Video on Writing Great Blog Content

My Goal is to Set Up an Email Marketing List

goalsI should have set up my first list back in 2005 when I started my first blog. I’ve had a subscription to Aweber for several years and I’ve only halfheartedly put code snippet on my various sites over the years.

Can you imagine what my business would look like if I started a list properly from the beginning?

One never can predict how things would have turned out, but I bet my finances would look a lot differently if I did.
